New public inquiry
Following the High Court quashing of the Inspector’s decision to allow the appeal by Broadview Energy against South Northants Council’s refusal of planning permission for the Spring Farm Ridge Windfarm, the Planning Inspectorate has published a programme for a further public inquiry. This will be held at a venue yet to be decided (probably the Council Offices at Towcester) commencing on 8th October. It is expected to last 12 days with a decision issued on or before 23rd December.

Successful Outcome to High Court Appeal
We are delighted that the High Court has announced their decision quashing the government inspectors decision from the public inquiry held last summer.
This decision could not have been reached without the involvement of HSGWAG as it was our barrister who raised the grounds on which the appeal was ultimately successful.
We now have to assume based on what Broadview have indicated that they will not withdraw and therefore the matter will go back to a new public inquiry.

Awaiting Decision from High Court Judge following Appeal
Following the recent hearing at the High Court we are now waiting for the judge to deliver his ruling. This may be before Christmas but otherwise is likely to be early in the New Year.
As soon as we hear then we will communicate via this website and Helmdon.com
