Triumph as Sulgrave Wind Farm Plans Shelved!

Enertrag, the developer proposing to erect nine 125m turbines on the land between Weston and Sulgrave have decided not to pursue their wind farm plans. Enertrag have removed the wind monitoring mast and have no further plans to apply for permission. Enertrag felt that they would be unlikely to get planning permission for reasons of cultural heritage and impact on the landscape.

HSGWAG are thrilled for residents of Sulgrave & Weston and the hard work which the local action group has been doing behind the scenes.
However, Sulgrave in particular remains heavily affected by Broadview's plans for five turbines on the Spring Ridge site and so the fight, whilst reduced in scale is now concentrated against one development.
